Max Scherzer to Now Make Second Rehab Start with Double-A Binghamton Wednesday

BINGHAMTON, NY – New York Mets pitcher Max Scherzer will now make a second rehab start with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Wednesday as they face the Hartford Yard Goats at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford.

Scherzer made his first rehab start with the Rumble Ponies last Tuesday against Reading in front of a record setting crowd of 7,491 at Mirabito Stadium.

First pitch is at 7:05 PM Wednesday night. Fans can watch the game on MiLB.TV or listen to all the action on the WNBF Rumble Ponies Radio Network on Newsradio 1290 WNBF, 92.1 FM, and MiLB.comI90

With Max Scherzer now making his second rehab start with the Rumble Ponies on Wednesday, the special watch party at Mirabito Stadium will now be this Wednesday night to watch Mad Max pitch in a Rumble Ponies uniform on the road against the Hartford Yard Goats at Dunkin’ Donuts Park.

Fans will be able to watch Scherzer pitch on the Mirabito Stadium jumbotron, with gates opening at 6:00 PM and first pitch at 7:05 PM. Tickets are $3, select concessions items such as hot dogs, burgers, and popcorn will be available for purchase, as well as 2-for-1 Labatt and Bud Light drafts on the Southern Tier Brewing Company Party Deck.

The Rumble Ponies will also don their special City Edition jerseys highlighting Broome County presented by Leadership Alliance and The Agency.

Tickets can only be purchased in person at the Visions Federal Credit Union Starting Gate Box Office and are on sale now, with cash payment preferred.
