National Pastime.comFrank Thomas strokes a double off Sandy Koufax in the Mets' 13-6 loss to Los Angeles, extending his franchise mark of consecutive games with a hit to 18 for the expansion team. The streak, which will be only one shy of Maury Wills' league-leading total for the season, is halted when the New York left fielder goes 0-for-4 in the nightcap of the Dodgers' sweep at the Polo Grounds.

Here is the full list of Mets games played on May 30th.

Year: 2019; Game #56; Thursday;  May 30, NYM 0 @ LAD; 2; boxscore;    WP: Ryu;  LP: Vargas;  Save: Jansen;  Time: 02:47; NIGHT; Attendance: 47,848

NY Post: Jason Vargas finally comes up big as Mets gain split with Braves. "After the Mets finished with a four-game series split, Vargas, whose ERA dropped from 10.62 to 8.53 with five shutout innings in which he allowed two hits and one walk...Adrian Gonzalez’s run-scoring single in the eighth — his second RBI in the game — gave the Mets breathing room after Johan Camargo had blasted a solo homer the previous inning that sliced the Mets’ lead to 2-1. In the ninth, Brandon Nimmo slammed an RBI double that gave the Mets a fourth run.

Year: 2017; Game #50; Tuesday;  May 30, NYM 5  Vs. MIL 4 boxscore 12 innings   WP: Smoker;  LP: Peralta;  Save: Time: 04:24; NIGHT; Attendance: 24,457

NY Post: Mets bail out Asdrubal Cabrera with 12-inning win over Brewers. "Asdrubal Cabrera should have raced from the dugout and kissed Jay Bruce after the Mets outfielder reached first base to conclude Tuesday night’s game. Exonerated was Cabrera, whose misplayed pop-up five innings earlier had nearly sunk the Mets. Instead, there was Bruce delivering a walk-off RBI single against the Brewers in the 12th inning that gave the Mets a third straight victory and fourth in five games, 5-4 at Citi Field."

Year: 2016; Game #50; Monday;  May 30, NYM 1  Vs. CHW 0 boxscore;  WP: Harvey;  LP: Quintana;  Save: Familia;  Time: 02:34; DAY; Attendance: 38,339

NY Post: Matt Harvey looks like his old self in dominating White Sox. "Harvey peaked at 98 mph on the stadium radar — his zenith for the season — and maintained his velocity throughout, surrendering only two hits and a walk, with six strikeouts in his longest outing of 2016....He smacked his glove in satisfaction and left to a chant of “Har-vey” this time, after retiring J.B. Shuck for the final out in the seventh with two runners on. Neil Walker’s homer leading off the bottom of the inning put Harvey (4-7) in position for the victory and Jeurys Familia, after two ugly performances, worked a perfect ninth for the save following Addison Reed’s scoreless eighth."

After using an upside-down capital 'P' on d'Arnaud's jersey, equipment manager Kevin Kierst, asked Majestic, MLB's uniform supplier, to make 'small' letters available knowing there be even more of a need this season.
