It was Cortes second two-run homer in as many days.

Bowie would then score two runs in the third and three in the fourth to take a 6-5 lead. An RBI fielder's choice from Greg Cullen made it 7-5 in the sixth. Binghamton pulled within one in the eighth on an RBI single by Jeremy Vasquez. Shelton Perkins retired the Rumble Ponies in order in the ninth to earn his second save of the year.

Ponies RHP Jesus Vargas (0-4) took the loss allowing nine hits and six runs over three plus innings. Bowie starter Ryan Watson (4-1) earned the win allowing five runs on six hits over five innings.
